There are instances where chemicals are leftover from the process of extracting strains and terpenes from cannabis. During the extraction process, trace amounts can remain in the cannabis solution. These are known as residual solvents, and they can negatively impact one’s health. As of now, super-concentrated forms of cannabis are in high demand. We use Gas Chromatography (GC) to heat samples of the extracted substance to evaporate any remaining solvents.
